Welcome to the Bay State Soccer League web site. Based in Boston, the BSSL is a premier adult amateur league with 40 teams in four divisions. The league is governed by the Massachusetts Adult State Soccer Association and affiliated with the United States Soccer Federation.

Ucal McKenzie
It is with tremendous sadness that BSSL reports the untimely death of Ucal McKenzie, who suffered a heart attack during Carico FC's game on Saturday, May 30th.
Ucal was Head Soccer Coach at Newton North High School where he also worked as a guidance counselor. Holder of a National Coaching License, he was previously Assistant Men's Soccer Coach at Suffolk University and Head Boys Soccer Coach at Cambridge Rindge & Latin School. He will be greatly missed for his many contributions to the sport of soccer as a player, a coach, and an educator and the League's deepest sympathies go out to his family, friends, students, and teammates.
A wake is planned for Friday, June 5th from 6:00PM until 9:00PM:

New Teams and Name Changes for 2009
BSSL welcomes the following new teams joining Division 4:
- BCS XI (Boston, Cambridge, Somerville Eleven)
- BKFC (Boston Korean Football Club)
- FC Cobra
- OHP Gunners
Two existing teams have changed their names this season:
- Peabody FC are now Essex County FC (D4)
- FC Phoenix are now FC International (D4)
