Welcome to the Bay State Soccer League web site. Based in Boston, the BSSL is a premier adult amateur league with 40 teams in four divisions. The league is governed by the Massachusetts Adult State Soccer Association (MASS) and affiliated with the United States Soccer Federation.

New Promotion/Relegation Structure for 2014

Division 1

  • #9 and #10 teams will be relegated to D2 (no change)
  • #8 team will play a home and home matchup against D2 #3, with winner earning a spot in D1 for 2015

Division 2

  • #1 and #2 teams will be promoted to D1 (no change)
  • #3 team will play a home and home matchup against D1 #8, with winner earning a spot in D1 for 2015
  • #9 and #10 teams will be relegated to D3 (no change)
  • #8 team will play a home and home matchup against D3 #2 team with most points, with winner earning a spot in D2 for 2015
  • #7 team will play a home and home matchup against D3 #2 team with fewest points, with winner earning a spot in D2 for 2015

Division 3

  • #1 team in D3N and #1 team in D3S will be promoted to D2
  • #2 team with most points will play a home and home matchup against D2 #8 team, with winner earning a spot in D2 for 2015
  • #2 team with fewest points will play a home and home matchup against D2 #7 team, with winner earning a spot in D2 for 2015
